Transport:
Airport –The AIRCOACH bus service stops just beside the hotel (30 seconds walk) and operates to the airport approx every 15 minutes. The service runs 24 hours, every day and tickets can be purchased from the bus driver at a cost of approximately €12 (return). A taxi from the airport should cost approximately €25. Approximate driving time to hotel is 20 minutes and distance is 10 kilometres. A Taxi rank is located within 1 minute of the hotel.
Rail – Both mainline railway stations, and the DART (electric train service) are easily reached, with just an eight minute stroll to both Connolly and Tara St. stations. The DART is the ideal mode of transport for guests looking to explore the picturesque east coast while it also runs through Dun Laoghaire making it easy for tourists travelling by boat to reach the city centre. 
Bus – It is only a 6 minute walk from the hotel to Dublin's central bus station, Busaras, where all provincial bus services from Dublin depart. The majority of Dublin buses stop near to the hotel, on O'Connell Street or the surrounding area.
The Dublin City Bus Tour – A sightseeing tour of Dublin's main attractions, the Dublin City Bus Tour is a great way for guests to see Dublin. The tour is hop on hop off, giving tourists the freedom to explore and experience the history and culture of Dublin at their leisure. Buses leave from directly outside the hotel, every 10-15 minutes from 9.30am to 5pm. Tickets for the tour can be purchased at the hotel's reception and can be used for 24 hours.
LUAS – Dublin’s new light rail system, LUAS is a quick and hassle free way to get around parts of Dublin. The LUAS red line stops at Abbey Street, less than a five minute walk from the property and is ideal for reaching Busaras or Connolly and Hueston Stations. Attractions such as the National Museum of Ireland, the Four Courts and the Old Jameson Distillery are also serviced by the red line. The LUAS green line operates from St. Stephen's Green serving south of the city, including Dundrum Shopping Centre, one of Europe's biggest shopping centres.
Parking: The centre of Dublin is best explored on foot but a car is a great way to get off the beaten track. Parking for guests staying at the Academy Plaza is available directly across the road from the hotel in Clery's Q-Park where guests receive discounted preferential rates of €4.50 Overnight (5pm – 9am) and €12.50 for 24 hours parking. |
